Mark Karas

The National Kitchen & Bath Association has named its 2010 NKBA executive committee. Mark L. Karas, general manager of Adams Kitchens in Stoneham, Mass., has been named president. VP of the committee David Alderman, who founded Dave's Cabinet in Chesapeake, Va., has become president-elect. NKBA Treasurer Alan Zielinski, president and CEO of Better Kitchens in Niles, Ill., has transitioned to vp.

The group also elected two new members to the committee. John Morgan, a manufacturer's representative, consultant and trainer through his company Morgan Pinnacle LLC, has joined as secretary. Michael Alba, founder of Creative Kitchens in Coral Springs, Fla., has been elected treasurer.

Karas has more than 30 years of industry experience, and has been active in the NKBA for more than 20 years. He has served as president, vp communications, and vp programs for the Northern New England chapter. Nationally, he has served on the Board of Governors of Dealers and the ad hoc CAD design committee, as well as chair of the certification subcommittee, professional development committee, ad hoc sustainability committee, and certification task force.

Suzie Williford, vp sales for Kiva Kitchen and Bath in Houston, is the NKBA's immediate past president.
