Dennis Mohn

Dennis Mohn has been named president of Fairfield, Calif.-based Gentry Hardwood Floors. Mohn brings 33 years of experience in distribution, marketing and sales within the hardwood flooring category.

In his new role, Mohn will focus on establishing a national distribution network in support of the newly patented Eco-Hybrid line of flooring products. Eco-Hybrid is a hardwood flooring combining a wear layer of solid hardwood fused to a vertically finger-jointed solid strip base, a construction designed to give the floor enhanced dimensional stability.

Eco-Hybrid flooring is suitable for installation over any subfloor, including concrete slabs and subfloors with radiant heating systems, for both commercial and residential applications, according to the company. The line offers widths up to 7” and random plank lengths from 2’ to 7’.

“Eco-Hybrid is a future-focused patented product with vast potential,” Mohn said. “We’re excited to connect with the right distribution partners to take this versatile, high performance hardwood product to the market.”

Most recently, Mohn was president and CEO of Award Flooring, following a three year tenure as vp sales and marketing at Alloc, Inc. Additionally, he has served on the Board of Directors for the North American Association of Floor Covering Distributors.
