Nourison was among the big winners during Wools of New Zealand's annual Fashion Dynamics competition at Surfaces. The rug maker was the only company to win two awards this year, as both the first place winner in Best Overall and runner up in the Best Color Line categories. This year’s contest included 36 Wools of New Zealand and Laneve brand products. Judging took place over a two-day period, and awards were presented to the first-place winners and runners up at Surfaces.

“We are honored to win awards in two categories,” said Alex Peykar, president of Nourison. “This recognition speaks to the creative talents of our design team and their ability to meet retailers’ styling and colors needs. We are grateful to Wools of New Zealand for generating interest in our introductions and appreciate retailers’ votes.”

Winners were:

Best Overall, Wools of New Zealand Brand Carpet: Monaco Collection by Nourison (first place); North Shore by Stanton (runner up).

Best Overall, Laneve Brand Carpet: Sonoran by Decorative Carpets (first place); Dartmouth by Prestige (runner up).

Best Color Line, Laneve Brand Carpet: Matrix by J. Mish (first place); Baroque by Masland (runner up).

“It is always an honor to win Wools of New Zealand’s Fashion Dynamics contest,” added Jack Mishkin, president of J. Mish. “Although the economy is difficult, we continue to see opportunity in the wool segment and value our partnership with Wools of New Zealand. They are doing a great job of supporting the industry with new programs that bring a fresh approach to market.”
