Dear Friends of Beaulieu:

They say the recession is officially over, but we all know there is still much work to do to recover what was lost. There are a few signs that things are starting to turn around and for that we can be thankful. In fact, I’m very happy to acknowledge that Beaulieu actually has grown in recent months due to additional opportunities from our customers and the efforts of our sales force.

Our focus as a company is even more resolute regarding customer service than before the recession. Our goal has been and continues to be the supplier of choice to this industry, the employer of choice to our associates, and a good corporate citizen in our communities.

As the largest carpet-only specialist in the floor covering industry, we are further establishing our role as the solutions-provider by clearly defining our brands serving five key market niches: Bliss by Beaulieu serving Residential Replacement; Beaulieu Commercial serving Specified Commercial; Hollytex serving Main Street Commercial; Beaulieu Property Management Solutions serving Multi-Family Housing; and FashionSmart, serving New Home Construction (as a supplier to Armstrong Flooring).


Driving each of these brands will be the same spirit of innovation that has created unique product features such as Magic Fresh odor reducing treatment (which is becoming standard on all of our products) and Silver Release antimicrobial technology; the same spirit of service that led to our being recognized by Sherwin-Williams as Vendor of the Year and earning us the Award of Excellence; the same spirit of design excellence that won the Styling Excellence Award, and the same spirit of concern for the environment that created (and has now expanded) our use of Nexterra carpet tile backing and a holistic approach to sustainability.

However, while all of these plans, strategies and industry accolades are nice, we are really only as good as the service we provide to you, our customers, and the devotion and well being of our own people. They make the carpet, drive the trucks, take your calls, track your orders, train your folks and do a whole host of other extremely important jobs that make Beaulieu Blissful.

That’s why if you were to ask me what will determine the future of the floor covering business in the coming weeks, months and years, I would answer there are many important factors, but there is nothing as important as these two things: the team we have, and of whom we are extremely proud and the customers we have, for whom we are extremely grateful. And on that score, Beaulieu of America will continue to strive to be the Employer of Choice and Supplier of Choice in all we do.
