Mannington Mills announced today that Russell Grizzle has joined the company as chief operating officer. Grizzle will serve as COO until the end of 2011, when he will take over for current president and CEO Tom Davis, who is retiring.

Armstrong announces new price increases for hardwood floors
Armstrong announced it will initiate a 5 to 7 percent price increase in the United States and Canada on solid hardwood flooring products effective with shipments beginning April 1. Engineered hardwood flooring products will face a 1 to 4 percent hike.

Q.E.P. buys ArborCraft for approximately $10 mil
Q.E.P. Co., Inc. announced that on Friday it completed the acquisition of hardwood flooring maker ArborCraft LLC, which sells its products under the Harris and Tarkett Wood brands. The company, formerly called Harris-Tarkett, was founded in 1898 as the Harris Manufacturing Co.
