Flooring industry consulting firm The Claims Advisor said it plans to host an educational conference on hardwood flooring featuring more than 40 industry experts in August. Along with speaker sessions, the planned Hardwood Flooring Summit will also include breakout classes, expert panels and debates. The event is set for Aug. 14-17 in Atlanta.

Speakers are slated to include Ed Korczak, executive director and CEO of the National Wood Flooring Association; D. Christopher Davis, president and CEO of the World Floor Covering Association; former WFCA president Riley Gazzaway; and Mike Sundell, the prior president of Basic Coatings. Industry experts will also include technical and sales directors, hardwood business managers and inspectors from companies including Mullican, Mannington, Anderson, Scandia, BonaKemi, Bostik, Somerset, Zickgraf and Johnson Premium Hardwood Flooring.

Show organizers said the Hardwood Flooring Summit is geared toward retailers, claims staffers, distributors, manufacturers, inspectors and installers. The event will also include an optional hardwood flooring mill tour two days before the start of the show.
