Laticrete set to make a splash at upcoming Olympic games

Waterproof installations using Laticrete products will be featured during the 2008 Olympics. Included is more than 10,000 square meters of pool and deck tile at the Bejing National Aquatics Centre (pictured). A major component of the installations was Laticrete 9235 Waterproofing Membrane.

Antron goes greener with ‘global eco-profile’

Invista said its Antron brand of carpet fiber has reached new ‘green’ milestones. The product was recently recertified as an Environmentally Preferable Product by third-party group Scientific Certification Systems. This recertification was partly based on a comprehensive “global eco-profile” assessment from Boustead Consulting.

Products get the spotlight at LIFCA Tool Time event

Mohawk given thumbs up by Wal-Mart for green efforts

Mohawk Industries was recently honored with Wal-Mart’s inaugural Vendor Award for Sustainability. Specifically, the company’s Mohawk Home brand was recognized for managing its energy usage, reducing waste and highlighting sustainable materials in its products. Bill Kilbride, president of Mohawk Home, said he was “very honored” to be singled out by Wal-Mart

Distributor appointments

Three new distributors have joined Robina Floors’ network: T&G Hardwood, Professional Hardwood and Forte Hardwood Flooring. T&G will cover the upper Midwest. Professional Hardwood will serve northwest Ohio and Michigan. Forte will distribute to New England and parts of New York.
