Invista has rolled out what it calls its “biggest Stainmaster promotion ever.” Along with new television spots and point-of-sale materials, the company’s Fall Anniversary Celebration sale offers extended limited warranties on Stainmaster carpets and cushions.

Steve Griffith, vp North America residential flooring for Invista, said the move is aimed at enticing consumers to shop despite the economic climate. “We’re excited to be able to offer some additional merchandising power to our customers,” he said. “Plus, it’s another great way for them to reinforce to their consumers that buying a Stainmaster carpet, even in difficult economic times, is a great investment for their home.”

Invista said it will extend the warranty by five years for all Stainmaster carpets purchased during the sale, running now through Dec. 31. Additionally, consumers who purchase a Stainmaster carpet along with the company’s carpet cushion will receive an eight-year limited warranty.
