The Coverings New Product Extravaganza will be included in the July Issue of National Floor Trends.
This special section will feature a sampling of some of the newest products that were unveiled during Coverings 2008. The show, held recently in Orlando, Fla., brought together about 1,200 exhibitors and more than 35,000 show goers to see the latest in tile, stone and installation products. Coming in July NFT: Exclusive WFCA survey on consumer habits
The World Floor Covering Association recently commissioned a survey from Clear Seas Research, a sister company of National Floor Trends,
to examine how consumers shop for flooring. The study finds that consumers are relying more and more on the Internet to learn about flooring and are often spurred to shop by big box stores' direct mail campaigns. However, word of mouth is still the No. 1 way that people get information about flooring before entering a store. See a summary of the survey in the July issue of NFT.

Wood pros visit mills during NOFMA event
NOFMA: The Wood Flooring Manufacturers' Association recently held an
inaugural mill tour in Tennessee. The event, which began and ended in
Nashville with stops at nearby lumber and machinery companies, drew
close to 30 wood flooring professionals from around the industry.

'The best way to service our customers': Faus to market directly to specialty retailers
In a move that fundamentally changes the way it does business, Faus
said it will begin working directly with specialty retailers to promote
and market the company's full line of Fausfloor laminate products,
merchandising and programs. Previously, Faus worked indirectly with
retailers through a distribution network.

Beaulieu staffers trained for women-friendly 'Bliss' brand
Patricia Flavin, Beaulieu's sr. vp marketing for marketing, speaks to
sales staff, call center operators and other Beaulieu staffers about
the company's recently launched Bliss carpet brand. Bliss by Beaulieu
is residential carpet "designed by women for women," according to the
company.

Shaw's 'Green Home' sponsorship
nets nearly half bil. impressions
Shaw said that a recent promotion tied to the 2008 HGTV Green Home
Giveaway netted the company close to a half billion impressions. Shaw
was a presenting sponsor for the giveway of the Gold LEED-certified
home, which was won by Marsha Coulthard of Bradenton, Fla., as part of
a live special on HGTV recently. Her name was drawn from a pool of more
than 21 million entries collected online.

benefits of the company's flooring to a specifier during Neocon 2008 in
Chicago.
Mohawk unveils ambitious plans for hardwood; will roll out more than 150 SKUS this year
Mohawk is set to launch the largest number of hardwood looks in the
company's history. Fueled by the company's purchase of Columbia Wood
Flooring last year, Mohawk said it plans to roll out more than 150
hardwood SKUs through the year. Additionally, the company has debuted a
new installation system and support materials for the line.
